The MTV EMA awards show took place on Thursday night with our very own Katy Perry at the helm. Katy ensured the night ran smoothly and had a big old handful of glitter sprinkled all over it in true Ms. Perry style.
Katy of course changed her dazzling outfits throughout the evening, going from burlesque beauty to prom queen princess and performing a medley of songs that included ‘Poker Face’ and ‘When Love Takes Over’.
Lady Gaga, Green Day and Beyonce were a few of the stars who walked away with awards on the night.

Want to catch Katy live without ever having to leave your house? Well, now you can…
YouTube are kicking off a series of live-streamed music-concert broadcasts and the launch of this new phenomenon will be headed by none other than our very own Katy!
The first show will be streaming from San Francisco this Saturday at 8pm ET (which is 5 hours behind us here in the UK) – you’ll have to stay up late to catch it but we’re sure it’ll be worth it.
Alternatively, you can watch the show whenever you like as it will still be available at www.youtube.com/live

Not only has Katy been nominated for two super-duper awards at this November’s MTV European Music Awards, but she’s also the host for the night!
Certain to put on one hell of a sparkling show, Ms.Perry will be on stage alongside the likes of Leona Lewis, Green Day and Tokio Hotel, who are all expected to perform on the night.
Don’t forget to get voting for Katy, who is up for the ‘Best Female’ award AND ‘Best Video’ gong for ‘Waking Up In Vegas’. Do Katy proud and cast your votes here!

This November, the MTV European Music Awards are taking place in Berlin and Katy has been nominated for two huge awards!
The first is for ‘Best Female’, with Katy up against Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Leona Lewis and Shakira. The second see’s Katy’s fabulous vid for Waking Up In Vegas, nominated for the ‘Best Video’ gong!
